Peter Luger Steak House is one of the oldest and the most famous steak house of New York with its history of 100 years. Their first place in Brooklyn is 100 years old and their second place in Long Island Great Neck is at least 12 years old. Its title “the best steak house in New York” awarded to its side by Zagat for 28 years has been colored with the Michelin 1 star it has achieved.

In the restaurant having a simple menu, the Traditional Peter Luger dish comprises meat, crispy French fries, tomato sauce and creamy spinach. New York cheesecake in the menu is really delicious. You will not forget the taste of the meat you will eat here.

The wood-paneled walls used in the interior design and the great big windows provides the harmony of the decorative old items and the place appears to be very relaxing.

May be the most disadvantageous point at Peter Luger is that you cannot use credit card but have to pay in cash. The chocolates wrapped in golden yellow covers brought with the bill are quite catchy. If you happen to go there without having a reservation made, you will not be able to find any seats.
