A restaurant located within a hidden rock cave in Avanos: Uranos Sarikaya. You will see a hill on your way to Sarıkaya Restaurant. You can think where you are as there are no buildings around. The restaurant built by means of carving the rocks in the mountain cave provides an authentic and an interesting view with its tables made of rock. Especially seeing someone playing the Kanun (a Turkish musical instrument resembling the zither) just in the middle of the restaurant takes you away.

The place attracting the attention of tourist groups is one of the restaurants where the most delicious earthenware pot kebab is served. There are two separate menu sets for lunch and dinner. There is a fix menu served at lunch comprising lentil soup, bacon and beans, pot kebab and baklava. At dinner, along with the dish served, there is a folk dancing show accompanied by Turkish folk instruments group, live music and a belly dancing show. If you suddenly decide to eat at this restaurant, it is possible that you will not find a seat and have to leave. Even if the manager tries to help with regard to finding seats to the extent possible, it is quite difficult to find a free table at the restaurant without any reservation as the place is preferred by tourist groups any time of the day.
